Labrador Retriever Rescue
Labrador Retriever Rescue
Labrador Retriever Rescue is a high priority for many people. Starting with a puppy is not everyone’s idea of bliss, preferring to bring an older dog into their family. This is an individual preference and you should follow your own instincts and do your research. The same health testing should apply regardless of the age of the dog you are considering.
Ensure that the dog you choose fits in with your lifestyle and family.
It is unwise to expect that negative puppy behaviours will be absent in an older dog, this is not always the case. Gain as much information as you can about the history of the dog you are considering, and either have knowledge or support in relation to introducing a rescue or older dog into your family.
Occasionally Palmira Healing Puppies have older Labrador Retrievers for rehoming. For a number of reasons their ‘job title’ may need a change and a new home found.
With our younger girls, that have not started their breeding as yet, we would consider a Guardian Home under the right circumstances. Contact for more information if you are interested.
Trained Puppies
I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey travelled with Nelson, Malty, Loki and (as it turned out) Elvis. With their departure, it started the idea of establishing a designated program for Assistance or Companion Trained Puppies. These puppies would then go to their new homes at an agreed age, not before 6 months of age. Continuing their training, for their new role, with their new family.
Anyone interested in obtaining a ‘trained’ puppy I would be happy to receive your expression of interest and will come back to you by email.

Palmira Healing Puppies will always work with our puppy owners to avoid, at all costs, having one of our puppies placed in a shelter.

This gorgeous young pup is Milly. She is an entire female (not desexed), 13 months old. Weighing approx. 32kgs. She is fully vaccinated and wormed regularly.
Beautiful, sweet, energetic and lively nature, Milly is very playful and loves attention.
Milly is looking for a new home, through no fault of her own. Her present owner has health issues to navigate which has meant not being able to give Milly the attention she deserves.
Milly is located in NSW. If you are interested in any further information please contact. It would be great for Milly to blossom into her adult life.
